About Christian Ryan
Photography has always been my passion. I am fascinated by the creative process and the technology behind it. I think it’s an immensely versatile craft that lets me tell a story and turn concepts into reality.
So what led me to photography. I come from a long line of artists in the family who were pioneers in their own rights. I graduated with a BA in Communication Arts from the University of the Philippines. As I was starting my profession, I worked with various advertising and marketing communications agencies that gave me the opportunity to work with teams, understand production work, and the industry in general. All this time, I found myself being a part of the process - developing my skills as a professional photographer and being involved in different kinds of commercial work in Manila, and other parts of Asia, and now in North America where I reside.
I feel fortunate to get projects that have allowed me to travel to unique places and meet incredible people along the way. Over the years, I find there is not a day I don’t take pictures. There’s just so much in a photograph that words cannot say.
I’d go for an adventure on any day. It’s a great experience to meet new people and to see different things. I enjoy a good laugh and can find humor in almost anything.
Aside from photography, I love cycling, music, technology, sports, and travel. I believe in collaboration, teamwork and commitment. I also believe that we should live our dreams and strive for the best in everything we commit ourselves to.
